Développer son vocabulaire - Tuteurs & professeurs d'anglais
Hi! My name is Dawn. Learning a new language can be tricky, but I am here to help you reach your goals. I am a teacher and native English speaker living in the United States. I have been teaching elementary school for 12 years and have been teaching children and adults English for 7 of those years. I am patient, remember, I have taught children for 12 years. Not to mention, I am learning Spanish myself, so I know how difficult it can be to learn a new language. I will help you become confident speaking and comprehending English. We will have meaningful conversations and practice activities that meet your personal needs and goals. Adult Students: My adult students have ranged from beginner through advanced and we have focused on various grammar topics and pronunciation as well as practicing conversational English and professional business English. Children: I accept children ages 5 and older. Lessons are interactive, fun and appropriate to your child's age and ability. I request a parent stay with the child for the 1st few lessons to assist with the technology. ***Book a trial lesson so we can get to know each other and start learning today! Talk to you soon!***
I am a fully qualified English Teacher from Bristol, England. I hold a Masters with Distinction in History from the University of Birmingham and have lectured at Kings College London and University College London (UCL). Prior to this I received full training and certification as a teacher in the UK. I've been teaching for years and I really love it. During my career I've gained lots of experience with all types of students and levels. I've had students who don't know the days of the week all the way up to students studying for the Cambridge Proficiency Exam. Presently I specialise in the intermediate and advanced levels, helping students to improve their level for professional purposes or to gain certificates to access higher education. Whatever the exact level of the student, my general approach is more or less the same. I am able to quickly ascertain a student's capability from a short conversation and use this to design a tailor-made plan of study. Depending on the needs of the student, this could include specific areas of grammar that need work or aspects of writing skills. Classes are heavily based in conversation practice and correction, with the necessary study elements taught at different points during the 60 minute talk. In this way, subjects can be covered with speed, with concise follow-up homework tasks reaffirming this knowledge gained in class - then ready for revision in the following session. My approach attempts to avoid the burden of language study with short, focused tasks as part of dynamic sessions. The combination of this with a tailor-made package of study enables the student to progress much more rapidly than in traditional group study. Furthermore, such a technique is particularly useful for online 1-on-1 learning, an area I have been working in exclusively for the last 3 years, delivering over 4,000 sessions! Finally, I strongly believe that students need to be relaxed and enjoying themselves to get the most from sessions. I endeavour to achieve this as a teacher by ensuring a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and through this, delivering dynamic and engaging sessions, pushing the student to achieve their full potential improve rapidly. Get in touch and we can work together to create a programme of learning that works for you and sees you progress with speed!

CONVERSATIONAL CLASSES: My conversation classes are focused on INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED conversation in English. We pick a topic that interests you, we talk about it, and we will cover the grammar and vocabulary about that topic. This helps you feel comfortable talking about ANY topic you want. At the end of the lesson, we will review what we learned during the lesson, and I will let you know about any mistakes you made, and how to correct them. This includes some grammar review and accent reduction/pronunciation help. GENERAL CLASSES: These classes are open to ALL levels and include guided classes, following exercises from books that I will give to you. I teach you something new, we review it together, we do guided exercises, then you do exercises on your own and I correct any mistakes and help you understand how to fix them. Afrique du Sud
Hello everyone. My name is Michelle. I am from Pretoria, South Africa. I am a TEFL qualified teacher, with over a year of teaching experience on Verbling. I was an English tutor before joining Verbling for many years. Who are my lessons for? My lessons are focused on adults who have achieved Intermediate level and above, who wish to take their English to the next stage. Whether it be conversational skills, grammar, writing or business English. What do my lessons consist of? My speaking lessons are based on conversation topics that you will encounter in your daily life. We will look at new vocabulary around each topic and discuss different opinions about the topic. If you would like homework to practice what we have covered in class then I will provide that too. For grammar lessons I provide either in-depth lessons focusing on the rules of grammar and lots of practice, or we can just brush up your existing knowledge with a chance to practice. I also do Business English lessons, where we explore common phrases, vocabulary and business skills (writing Business letters, documents, etc). I will also help you get ready for that dreaded interview in English. We will go over the tough questions and look at the best ways to answer them with confidence. If any of this has sparked your interest book a trial lesson with me and together we can plan your journey to becoming a fluent English speaker.
CELTA QUALIFIED NATIVE SPEAKER WITH 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE I teach the following: - Conversation - Listening - Phonics - Vocabulary - Reading comprehension - Grammar - CV and Interview Preparation - Tailored lessons (let me know what you need!) I have taught online for two years. I have experience with adults and children. I have helped students gain admittance into International Schools in Hong Kong and onto Master's Programmes in the UK (UCL). I have taught in Hong Kong as a fully time teacher for children aged 2-17. I taught private classes as well as group classes and all sorts of lessons, including reading comprehension, grammar, conversation and phonics. I believe that people learn much better when they are passionate about something and that is a big focus of my lessons. I am happy to teach all facets of language learning i.e. grammar, conversation or reading but simply think that if these are approached around a topic that the learner cares about the student will learn quicker and more efficiently. So, for example, if you are particularly interested in football, India or baking then I will structure lessons so that your English learning is relevant to you. After all, an extra language is there to help you make greater connections and improve you life. More about me: I enjoy lots of different subjects and am always happy to learn new ones and discuss them with you.
