Children (4-11) - Tuteurs & professeurs d'anglais
Hi, my name is Jasna and I have been a teacher here on Verbling since 2016. How would you like to learn to speak English from a native speaker? I was raised and educated in Australia where I did a lot of voluntary work as a translator helping new migrants settle in to their new country. I also helped a lot of children adjust to learning in their new English speaking schools. I am now living my European dream and often work with local businesses and non-profit organizations with translation services. But my favorite work is tutoring young students with English to help further their education or for when they decide to travel abroad. In 2016 I completed IELTS Academic Exams with a CEFR C1 result so I can offer first hand advice on what to expect with these much sought after exams. My career in Australia was mainly centered around Finance & Administration, including my own business, which means I have had many years of practice perfecting business communication skills. Whether you would like to learn how to speak English as a hobby, to travel, for study or to communicate better with your business partners I would love to help you achieve your goals. My approach to teaching English is with regular practice and conversations. My hours are flexible and if the standard hours I have set do not meet your requirements, please send me a message and I will do my best to arrange and make available a time that will be suitable for both of us. I hope to be speaking with you soon.

Hello! My name is Elyse and I am from Canada. I currently live in Vancouver, British Columbia which is home to the beautiful Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. I completed a 120-hour Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL) through the University of Toronto. My areas of specialization are Business English and Teaching Children but I am keen to explore the fields that are motivating you to learn English. I also have a Bachelor's degree from Ryerson University in Environment & Urban Sustainability. Right now, I'm studying Acting at Vancouver Film School. My passion for teaching English comes from a deep interest in travel, culture, and people. My approach to teaching English is self-directed learning. I believe every student has an important reason to learn a new language, something motivating them to start that is related to their passions in life. Whatever the reason may be, I like to start there and use that motivation as a springboard to jump into the specific topics that matter to you at each step of the way in your journey to English. I strongly believe that every student learns in their own way. For this reason, I prefer to collaborate with you to come up with a tailored process to get you from where you are to where you want to be. My method is to let you take charge of your learning and to use me as a facilitator for your process. Our lessons can be as structured as you want them to be; if you're not sure where to start, we can discuss a detailed lesson plan which can be adapted as we go. If you like to take your learning day to day, I can offer a list of topics to explore and you can pick what's piquing your interest that day. I'm excited to meet you and get started!
