Greetings! I should love to be your teacher so that your English can become confident and colourful at a sole swoop. My name is Tom, an English teacher, having led 3000+ online lessons, 3000+ face-to-face lessons, and 200+ group lessons. I am fully aware that learning languages, especially English, is vastly time-consuming, not to mention the infinite deal of effort that inevitably needs to be put therein. Obviously, since we humans have no USB ports through which we can absorb much information in a blink of an eye, mastering a tongue does not happen from one day to another – it is a longsome and gradual process. Even for the most talented English-learners, bettering their level from elementary to advanced takes AT LEAST a full year – if not longer –, provided that they incessantly remain determined and hard-working in the meantime. Therefore, English courses offering to perfect your English to such heights where the sky is the limit within a ridiculously short amount of time all embark with you on an IMPOSSIBLE mission. You CANNOT learn the splendours of an entire language, which has been evolving for over 1.5 millennia, in just a month or whatever the promised length be. Under my tutorship however, unlike many of the so-called tutors who merely CONVERSE with you and nothing more, I shall actually be TEACHING you a lot. In addition, since the service provided to you constitutes one-on-one contact, each lesson, which is tailored to your individual abilities and knowledge, is focused upon your utmost satisfaction. You will see that as I am charting your progress, your weak points are going to be patched up little by little. Please note that my aim is not at all stalling for more and more of your limited time and money but readying you with care for the obstacles of English that come up in everyday life. I am basically at your disposal for three major reasons: 1) to show you very effective ways as to how to practise – combat – English, 2) to ensure that your English-related plans come true, and 3) to dub you a champion of the English language. In the end, after you have managed to forge the crude burden of English into your own fine armour, you will be able to wield it and wander the world in its splendour on your own – without my guidance. Before you want to entrust me with the above tasks, nevertheless, please hear me out yet. What I guarantee is BY NO MEANS that the content of our sessions will magically pop in your head while you comfortably sit back and listen to me. It is YOUR hard-working attitude that is the key to your success, because – let us admit it – without the old-fashioned blood-sweating, nothing, not even your untapped knowledge shall strengthen up! Now that I have laid the table for you, let us have a glance upon what in particular can be found on the menu, shall we? ____________________________________________________________________________ Private English tutoring sessions Topmost objectives: • Mastering British English pronunciation and intonation • Gaining hastened fluency and bolstered self-confidence • Useful and real-life situational exercises • Differentiating British English from American English • Guaranteed word-hoard enrichment to a vast extent • Patterns and erratic tendencies in English spelling • Painstakingly grasping grammar and tenses of English • Assorted synonyms, their distinct shades of meaning • Never-before-seen module-methods and exercises • Exceedingly detailed and thorough clarifications • At any age and level are tutorees welcome

🕒 30 and 60-minute lessons 🕒 Send me a message to ask any questions :) 🌏 I love exploring new ideas on life, love, business, Global Issues, Technology, Art, to name a few. and I use them to teach English around the world on some online platforms. I am a certified English teacher and I have teaching experience of over 5 years now. My approach is instead learning about Jack and Jill who went up the hill why don't we talk about the crazy, beautiful, and cruel world we live in. We will still be using English to discuss but in this way, we will learn something new. I'll learn from you and you'll learn from me. - Business English - Working with a global team - Business Negotiation - Interview - Global Issues - Technology - Life - Design and Art My focus in class will always be on communication because I believe communication is the best way to learn a language. here's how I do it. 1) I will send lesson material before our lesson (video, audio, phone script, interview questions, post, etc) 2) you have to watch that video multiple times if it's necessary to create a base for our lesson. 3) We will have a conversation about that specific topic in the lesson. see you later. Have a great day Thanks

Hello Friend! I hope you're having a great day! My name is Brent and I am from Santa Rosa, California. My hometown is in the California wine country, a beautiful place with outstanding weather. I have lived in Japan for thirteen years. I lived in Osaka for one year and then moved to Tokyo. I came to Japan because I am a poet and I love haiku. Japan is a wonderful country that has changed me in many positive ways. And the sushi...wow. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Poetry with a Minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. My interests include haiku, hiking, comedy, studying Japanese, reading, food, traveling, baseball, and music. I am a very curious person and I enjoy learning about others' hobbies and interests. As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges involved with learning languages, which helps me address student concerns and needs in a constructive way. I teach all kinds of English, including general conversation, business English, TOEIC, TOEFL, Eiken, and kids lessons. I teach a wide range of ages, from two months old to eighty years old. Let me customize English lessons for you. We can use any books, newspapers, movies, songs, or other learning materials you like. I can also create original materials just for you! I love my students' English. There is no bad English. No one has bad English. If you can say "Hello.", that's great. If you can say "Nice to meet you.", that's great. The key is to own your English because it's yours! It's all about enjoying studying and getting better every day. One of my favorite haiku poets is Kobayashi Issa and this is one of his best poems. 蝸牛そろそろ登れ富士の山
Katatsumuri sorosoro nobore Fuji no yama Climb Mount Fuji, O snail, but slowly, slowly. This haiku has many meanings but one of my favorites is that Issa is telling even a snail, which is very slow, to slow down and enjoy climbing Fuji. It's the same with learning. Learning a language is like climbing Mt. Fuji. It's challenging and it takes time. Of course we want to improve every day but we have to make sure we look around and really enjoy the beautiful scenery, we should enjoy the new language we learn. Being a poet, I like to share my love of language with students so that they can experience more fully the joys of studying English. I am a people person and I use humor and a student-oriented approach to create a fun, comfortable learning environment. Your goals are my goals. I hope to meet you soon!

NOTE: I offer 1 free lesson for every 10 lessons taken!! Hello everyone! I am teacher from the USA who is passionate about teaching English as a second language. I always look forward to delivering the best lessons that I can and I always do my best to try and learn from each and every experience. I graduated from University back in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. From there I decided I wanted to travel a bit and looked at ways in which I could do that. I came across the idea of teaching English as a second language. I decided to get a CELTA certification because I read about how prestigious is is in the ESL world. In 2014 I received my Pass B CELTA certification and was ready to start teaching. Currently I am progressing my CELTA certification even further by becoming DELTA certified. In April of 2015 I finally found a job that I felt comfortable with and decided to go for it! I ended up in Arequipa, Peru thinking I was only going to be here for three months. After leaving over a year later, I knew I had found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was there that I fell in love with teaching English as a second language. In Peru, I taught English to mostly young adults; however the age range was anywhere from 10-60+. I was also able to teach all different levels of English from beginners to advanced students. It was really a great first job for me as I received so much experience. I also did a lot of private tutoring in Peru and tutor many different students in conversational English or test preparation (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) After Peru I landed a job in South Korea in the summer of 2017. This job is much different than the one I had in Peru as I am teaching mostly young children (6-10 years old). I have been in Korea ever since and continue to find different reasons for loving what I do. Both of the schools I have worked at have been great in terms of my professional development. I am in charge of creating my own lessons and teaching the subject matter as I see fit. I am growing as a teacher everyday and learning new ways in which to become a better teacher. In terms of my philosophy, I always try to make learning fun and enjoyable for everyone involved. If you don't love what you are teaching or learning you will not succeed. Since it is a language, to me the best practice is having the learner speak as much as possible. It doesn't make sense for the native speaker to do the majority of the talking because we aren't the one's trying to learn the language! I also understand that everyone is different, wants to learn English for different reasons and learns better in different ways. I am always willing to listen to what my student wants out of the classes and adjust my classes depending on what that is. I am incredibly flexible, adaptable and always looking to be a better teacher. A little bit about myself. I love to travel, have been to around 10 different countries and I am always looking to expand that number. I myself love to learn languages too and understand the difficulties when it comes to learning a new language. I can speak Spanish fairly well and am currently trying to learn Korean. I have also recently gotten into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I am about 1 year in and I love every minute of it. The challenge of it is very appealing to me and it seems like no matter what, you can always improve. I hope to meet you soon and look forward to our future classes together!

Hello! I am excited to join you at Verbling! First I will tell you a bit about my academic background and tutoring experience. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. I have also worked as a tutor for a number of years. I have loved tutoring in all subjects up to the college level. My favorite subject to teach has always been English. I enjoy helping with writing, developing conversational skills, and improving reading. I have worked with a number of ESL students from various countries including Japan, Korea, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. It has been a joy to conduct these lessons with my students, and I look forward to all the future ones to come! Now about my teaching style. :) If I had to use one word to describe my teaching style it would be ENCOURAGING. I love to give praise and always focus on growth. I also love to promote taking positive risks and trying new things, even though they may seem scary at first. In the past I have used a conversations textbook to structure my lessons. Through this method I have been able to facilitate deep conversations between myself and the student. At the same time I have been able to listen for sentence structure, grammar and pronunciation, and make corrections where necessary. My students tend to enjoy the topics and usually have a lot to say, which is always welcomed! I am also happy to focus on specific areas where the student is looking to grow. For instance maybe a lesson on proper sentence structure, reading comprehension, drafting letters, general writing, and presenting out loud. Whatever your English language learning need is, I am here to help you find it and attend to it together, until you feel confident and comfortable in that area. That said, I hope to see you in the class very soon! Mariam

Thanks a lot to you for being my English teacher. It´s a privilege to have you as a teacher. We have not known each other for a long time but since we started classes, I have learned a lot with you. I have noticed errors that I had been committing for years and I was not aware of them, because nobody had corrected me before. In addition to all that, I have discovered that communicating in English is not just knowing the whole grammar perfectly and the vocabulary, but it is also the intonation of the words that helps you that the message you are trying to convey is not misunderstanding, and much more I have learned with the little time we know each other. Thanks for your encouragement and for your good advice on life, these help me to see life with different eyes and if there is any obstacle that hinders me from continuing with my path, I will not stop because of it, I will jump it ! 🙂 I hope you continue to be my guide for this long journey that is to learn English and to help me achieve my goals.
