À propos de moi

Hi! I'm Isabel! I have a master's in applied linguistics and over 6 years of teaching experience. I've also done volunteer work with immigrants aquiring the local language in Spain and Japan. I prepare individual teaching materials designed for my students' goals and interests. I hope we have a great time learning!

I am a passionate language teacher and learner. I speak 5 languages fluently and I am working to get two more to that level. Although a passion for teaching and one's language is essential, I don't think that being a native always means that you can teach succesfully. During my education in linguistics, I have learned how different factors such as age, motivation, environment, and learning methods can affect this process. This has helped me a lot to improve my teaching and help as much as I can. I am a firm believer in the fact that anyone can learn any language.
I have experience with learners of all ages and backgrounds, but most importantly with different goals and learning styles. I strongly believe that the teaching has to be adapted to the learner's interests and objectives, because no one wants to sit through a generic boring text or do the same exercises a hundred times. Language learning should be fun!!
