Hi, my name is Evonny Beechman. I'm a person who's passionate for learning and teaching languages. From a very young age, I have studied and taken several tests on Spanish literature, grammar and composition, spelling, and pronunciation. This year I took the Costa Rican National Spanish test, which evaluates an individual's skills on all of the components of the Spanish language that I mentioned in the previous sentence; my overall grade on that test was a 95 out of a 100.
I have been recommended by the Country Day School in Costa Rica to give tutories in Spanish and to teach the language to the foreign students who attend the school due to the experience that I have acquired throughout four (noncontinuous) years of helping American students understand Spanish.
Furthermore, I live very close to the University for Peace in Costa Rica, where a lot of students from different parts of the world come to study and become eager to learn Spanish. Since I started high school, I started offering tutoring services and Spanish classes to these students. I had the opportunity to teach Spanish for an entire year to a Cameroonian student. I also taught Spanish to both an Australian high school student and his parents for an entire year.
My teaching style varies according to the needs that the student has. However, I try to make all of my classes interactive and fun by using technology, examples from real life, and trying not to stick to one type of lesson material.
My goal is to leave the person I'm teaching satisfied with their level of Spanish and with the sense of accomplishment to encourage them to keep learning the language.
Other languages that I teach include Advanced English and Intermediate Portuguese (as I'm currently finishing the course on this language.
