Hello there! I am Eliseo Domínguez. I was born and raised in the beautiful City of Guadalajara, México. I grew up learning languages, since I was in a trilingual school (Spanish, German and English) all the way from kindergarten to highschool. Besides, my family is partly French, and they used to speak the language very often.
After highschool I decided to study psychology, focusing on educational psychology. My love for education combined with my love for languages led me to one of the best decisions in my life: start a career as a languages teacher. I started teaching friends and friends' friends during my undergraduate studies, but afterwards I began to formally work as a languages teacher in local universities.
Some time ago I decided to move to Mexico City and continue my career here, where I have been teaching Spanish, English and German individually in corporate contexts. I love my job, and I'd like to expand and reach students from all around the world who are interested in learning my favorite language: Spanish.
I believe that effective learning requires structured teaching. That's why I divide my lessons into three fundamental blocks that allow a gradual apporach to new communication skills.:
1. PRESENTATION: establishing of a learning objective and presentation of target language (10% of class time.
2. ACCURACY: systematic exercises of new communication skills and grammar structures to achieve a deep understanding of them. (40% of class time)
3. NATURAL PRACTICE: practicing of the learned skills and assesment of accomplishment. Exercises that resemble real life situtations will be used here. (50% of class-time)
Additionally, I am very fond of producing and using visual aids to boost your understanding and memorization.
Come take a class with me, and discover how this methodology yields very fruitful results!
