Hi! My name is Andrés Rubio, I am from Bogotá, Colombia and I have been teaching Spanish for more than four years already. I started teaching the language to my friends from university while I was studying journalism and that's how I found out how much I loved doing it and so I decided to start a career as a teacher.
I have had the opportunity to work as a Spanish teacher in several institutes. The most remarkable experience has been to work in Italy (2015 - 2016) at Maria Montessori School in Milán and Convitto Nazionale Paolo Diacono in Cividale del Friuli, where I worked with kids and teenagers and together we developed different projects in order to encourage young people to become bilingual.
I can speak English and Italian and I am currently learning French. Languages have always been my passion and I truly believe education plays probably the most important role in our society.
All my classes are super dynamic and I really like when students speak a lot during them! I always try to practice the 4 basic skills in the class: writing, speaking, reading, and listening. I use my own material and also online resources.
I also try to make students feel that more than a teacher I am a friend who is guiding them through their learning process!
I am sure students will feel comfortable and they will have a lot of fun while they learn!
