À propos de moi

Because I have studied many languages I like form a connection between language of the speaker and English. English is a mongrel language, (mongrel means many and comes from the old Norse word menge) and has linguistic roots in several languages: German, Dutch, Norse, Latin, and French. This is what makes English challenging, it has many irregularities. However, in comparison to other Info European languages, English is very simple with its verb conjugations, has very few adjective declensions, no genders, and very regular plural endings.
I always like to help the student understand what their language and English have in common and to help the student understand how English differs from their own language. I have found it helpful to teach certain words together. For example I will teach the word "Exquisite" - beautiful, lovely, together with "Awful" - terrible, crude, because they are easier to remember as a pair.
I have a very rich vocabulary and can introduce you to many of the beautiful words of the English language.
Additionally I have a broad base of knowledge: classical music, business, economics, history, literature, and poetry. Which means you can have fun learning English while discussing your favorite topic.
I accept students at all levels from beginner - basic greetings, to advanced - Shakespeare.
I also have specialized business vocabulary for the individual who wishes to improve their English for work.
I welcome you to book a lesson, you will learn a lot and have lots of fun.
