My name is Vanessa. I am a native English speaker from the UK. I have been teaching English as a foreign language to students for more than two years, but I have also taught mathematics for over 25 years. During my career, I have worked with students from all over the world, from different educational backgrounds and with different learning preferences. My priorities include making sure that students are comfortable in the lesson and feel positive about their experience. I welcome the contributions students make to the format of the lessons. I am a creative and resourceful person and, wherever needs are identified, I really put in the effort to meet those needs. I hope to make lessons as enjoyable, useful and positive as possible. Perhaps my approach to learning will suit you. I will be happy to meet up in a lesson to find out, but, if not, I wish you success and all the best in your learning journey! Vanessa
I worked at INTO for three separate but substantial time-periods throughout these years. In effect, I was employed there for almost six academic years in total. For some of that time, I worked part-time and for some, I worked full-time. I taught on the Business Mathematics module of the International Students Foundation Programme, a programme which prepares international students for entrance and study at a UK university.
