LOS VERBOS IRREGULARES DEL ESPAÑOL - Primera parte, grupos I y II

Español, como lengua latina qué es, presenta una gran cantidad de verbos irregulares, muchos de los cuales son fundamentales para una buena comunicación en nuestro idioma. En este artículo te presento una forma fácil de identificarlos y empezar a dominarlos.


1- ¿Cómo se diferencian los verbos irregulares de los regulares?

Para comenzar debemos tener claro qué significa que un verbo sea irregular. Empecemos por definir su contrario, el verbo regular.

En nuestra lengua, los verbos regulares son aquellos que siguen un modelo de conjugación identificable según su tiempo y su modo y que al ser conjugado no cambian su raíz.

· Recuerda que la raíz de un verbo español es la parte de la palabra que antecede a -AR -ER -IR en infinitivo: hablar, comer, vivir.

Hablemos ahora de los verbos irregulares:

Los verbos irregulares tienen una conjugación particular, que no sigue de forma exacta un modelo y además, estos verbos pueden modificar su raíz cuando son conjugados.
Son verbos irreguleres, por ejemplo, acertar, volver y discernir.

Para que sea más fácil para ti identificar los verbos irregulares, voy a presentarte algunos grupos de estos verbos, de este modo podrás aprenderlos sin problemas.

👉GRUPO 1

El primer grupo lo forman los verbos con una vocal <e> intermedia en su raíz, esta <e> cuando conjuguemos se convertirá en <ie>. Sin embargo, los verbos de este grupo conservan la raíz regular para la primera y la segunda persona del plural (nosotros/as y vosotros/as).

De esta forma, un ejemplo de conjugación con el verbo entender quedaría de la siguiente manera :
Presente de indicativo
Yo entiendo
Tú entiendes
Él / Ella entiende
Nosotros/as entendemos
Vosotros/as entendéis
Ellos / Ellas entienden

Presente de subjuntivo
Yo entienda
Tú entiendas
Él/ Ella entiende
Nosotros/as entendamos
Vosotros/as entendáis
Ellos/Ellas entiendan

👉GRUPO II

En este segundo grupo, la <o> de la raíz se transforma en <ue> para todas las personas del singular y la tercera persona del plural del presente de indicativo y del presente de subjuntivo. Por el contrario, como en el grupo anterior, la primera y la segunda persona del plural (nosotros/as y vosotros/as) conservará la raíz del infinitivo.

De este modo, el verbo volver quedaría:
Presente de indicativo
Yo vuelvo
Tú vuelves
Él / Ella vuelve
Nosotros/as volvemos
Vosotros/as volvéis
Ellos / Ellas vuelven

Presente de subjuntivo
Yo vuelva
Tú vuelvas
Él/ Ella vuelva
Nosotros/as volvamos
Vosotros/as volváis
Ellos/Ellas vuelvan
